Welcome to Barkley’s Doggo World!
We are a team of devoted dog lovers who created this site to share our passion for canines of all shapes and sizes.
Our story begins in 2015 when our founder Sarah adopted her first rescue dog, a lovable Lab/Shepherd mix named Barkley. Sarah was amazed by the unconditional love and joy Barkley brought into her life and wanted to help other dogs find their forever homes.
After volunteering at local shelters, Sarah realized there was a need for an online resource that educates potential adopters and provides helpful tips for existing dog owners. And so, Barkley’s Doggo World was born!
At Barkley’s Doggo World, our mission is:
- To promote dog adoption and rescue efforts for pups of all ages. We showcase adoptable dogs from shelters nationwide and share resources to help match dogs with their perfect humans.
- To celebrate ALL dogs, mixed breeds and purebreds alike! We believe every dog has a unique personality and spirit.
- To provide dog owners with practical advice from house training to healthcare. Our team of experienced dog parents and canine professionals shares tips and solutions.
- To showcase heartwarming stories about dog/human bonds. We capture the amazing abilities of service dogs, police K9s and therapy animals.
- To educate about responsible dog ownership, health and wellness. We give guidance on exercise, nutrition, grooming and understanding dog behavior.
